Attendance
Attendance & make-up sessions
- Arrive on time; the first fifteen minutes cover demonstration and safety for the session.
- Multi-week courses permit two absences. Beyond that, a certificate of completion is withheld.
- Notify the studio at least 24 hours ahead of a known absence so materials are not prepared unnecessarily.
- One make-up session per term may be scheduled by appointment, subject to availability.
- Workshops and salons are single-session and cannot be made up.
Safety
Studio safety
- Closed-toe shoes are required at all times. Tie back long hair near machines and irons.
- Shears, rotary cutters, and awls stay on the table, never on chairs or in aisles.
- Irons are switched off and set upright when unattended. Report any frayed cord immediately.
- Dye and finishing work happens only in the designated area with gloves and ventilation.
- Food and covered drinks stay off cutting and machine tables. No open containers near fabric.
- Any injury, however small, is reported to the instructor and logged.
Conduct
Conduct & community standards
- TAG welcomes every role and every level. Condescension toward a beginner is not tolerated.
- No harassment or discrimination of any kind. Violations end participation without refund.
- Respect other people's work: do not touch, move, or photograph another student's piece without permission.
- Share equipment fairly and return borrowed tools to their station before leaving.
- Leave the station clean: threads swept, scraps binned, machines covered.
Payment
Payment, deposits & refunds
- All scheduling is handled through Acuity Scheduling; all payments are processed through Stripe.
- A non-refundable deposit reserves a seat; the balance is due before the first session.
- Full refunds, less the deposit, are issued for withdrawals made 14 or more days before the start date.
- Withdrawals within 14 days receive studio credit valid for twelve months.
- No refunds are issued after the second session of a multi-week course.
- Payment plans are available on request for multi-week courses.
Materials
Materials & studio equipment
- Students supply their own tools and fabric per the published materials list.
- Fabric must be pre-washed and pressed before the first session.
- Studio machines, forms, and pressing equipment are provided; personal machines may be brought by arrangement.
- Label all tools. TAG is not responsible for items left in the studio.
- Work left more than 30 days after a term ends may be donated to the studio's material library.
